I’m glad that we haven’t had any blowups that cost that much money (yet), but I did go out and spend $90 to outfit our kitchen for passover our first year of living together. Apparently it was either that or only eating reheated Chabad or Hillel food on paper plates with plasticware. Um, no thank you. Thank goodness for Marshall’s being open until 10 PM and not getting any crazy looks for buying 2 each of place settings and flatware for four, a sautee pan and a sauce pan, a cutting board, a good knife, and a bundle of kitchen utensils. Of course they are color coded in red and blue because I am not booby trapping my kitchen! So far so good, but I do remember storming out late at night and buying only exactly what I thought we’d need.
