This photo was taken during the cocktail “hour” after the reception tables were set. Each place setting had unsweetened ice tea with lemon, a BLUE water glass, and an undressed salad with sourdough toast and shaved parmesan. On the table were balsamic vinaigrette and ceaser salad dressings in gravy boats. The teal books are benchers, mini prayer and song books for after the meal is completed. They also contain another iteration of the shiva brachot, seven blessings, that are traditionally recited for the bride and groom after their first “festive meal” together.
